It's been a long time...

Well like this blog my exercise plans have seemed to vanish. I have not been exercising regularly, mostly because I don't have time to go to the gym anymore, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. Whether its because you have to go to a job that leaves you drained and exhausted or you are taking care of little ones who drain and exhaust you even more you just really don't have the time or energy. However, exercising and eating healthy  I have come to realize is very important. It is not like I didn't know that I needed to exercise and eat better, but working all day and coming home and then having to find time to cook dinner and making sure it's healthy is hard to do. But the reason I have decided to make a change is because my body is telling me to. I have been waking up in the middle of the night having excruciating pain in my stomach/intestines. I will attribute it mostly to drinking too much egg nog and drinking it late at night. But I think literally this is a "wake up" call to me. My body is not working like it should be and it is because I have been out of control eating food that is bad for me. It is just sooo easy to do it. But just because it is easy, just like most things in life, it does not mean that it is worth it. I still remember the pain I was in and so therefore I am very committed, even if it means eating nasty food. I've decided to do a two day body cleanse where you mainly eat only healthy fresh veggies and what not. I hope though that some things will stick and make their way into my daily/weekly food routine. I believe my body has too much toxins in my intestines or something and it's causing gas and pain. Hopefully all the things I am going to try will help.

This is the website I found
http://www.oprah.com/health/Dr-Oz-on-Cleansing-Do-You-Need-a-Cleanse/1

For breakfast I am going to eat quinoa and prunes.
Lunch a fruit smoothie
Dinner is vegetable soup with a side of sauerkraut. and sliced apples
Snack: 2 times between meals: pineapple kale juice.

On the website they explain how each individual vegetable or fruit helps your body.
These are the tips during:
Use these tips to make the most of your two-day cleanse.

1. Drink plenty of water.

2. Aim to get eight hours of sleep a night.

3. Don't eat after 7 P.M.

4. In the evening, take a warm bath with two cups of Epsom salt dissolved in the water. The salt's key component, magnesium, supports hundreds of enzymes in the body.

5. Before bed, sip a cup of dandelion tea. It's been shown to have diuretic properties, which will help flush away toxins in your urine before you sleep.

6. Know that you'll likely have to use the bathroom quite a bit in the next 48 hours.

I know this will help, well if I make any changes I'm sure it will help. Other things I have read that are interesting if your trying to be healthier

This is also a suggestion that Doctors make these days because of the obamacare thing. Do not drink juice! Most juice only contains a tiny percent of actual fruit juice. I asked my doctor about that and he said the only juice he would consider suggesting is acai juice.

A few years ago I was really stressed with school and I started having problems with food, but it was slightly different than this time. Before I would eat but then shortly after I would eat I would need to use the restroom. This could be any number of things but I am determined to fix the problem myself. What I did last time was drink pineapple juice with my meals, its suppose to help digestion, I switched to using only olive or canola oil, I tried to focus on eating only until I was full. Over eating can cause a lot of problems too. I went to a doctor back then and he told me to try doing a gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free diet. I made it through the sugar free diet and only two days into the dairy free and couldn't handle not having milk. I decided to research different things and I figured it out. I think part of it probably had to do with stress. I also added more exercise into my week. I think a combination of something helped it go away. I know a lot of people find it easy to just go gluten free but I don't think I could do with out dairy or bread. I want my body to work the way it should so I am going to hopefully get it working again with this body cleanse and with making changes in my life.

I am also going to try to exercise whenever I can. It will be hard because I will be tired by the time I get home, but I know it will be worth it.
